About
Clogsontronics, the musicians record label

Clogsontronics is a musicians record label. This means that the record label was created and is managed by the musicians and artists who are an integral part of Clogsontronics. The Clogsontronics record label is based on a virtual network that is growing rapidly. Musicians and artists around the globe contribute to the network by sharing material, resource capabilities and expertise. By doing this the network gets stronger and stronger. As an example, the network grows by promoting each others products in different parts of the world. All musician members benefit from this. When more and more members are joining the network and more and more artists are signed up, the network could even become canonical. A canonical network is a meta network that surpresses all other topic related networks!

Paulus Wieland (Ensemble Pittoresque) invented Clogsontronics in 1981. The label released records in the early eighties until 1985. Bands recording for Clogsontronics at the time were Ensemble Pittoresque, Störung, Final Unit, Bad Bob and Organic 4oh4. For 22 years after the label released its last record in the eighties the label stayed inactive. It was only when Richard Neumöller (Ensemble Pittoresque), Eugenius (Störung) and Ton Willekes (Ensemble Pittoresque) teamed up in 2007 that the label became active again. Currently, Clogsontronics releases new material and continues to schedule for re-releasing recordings that are available in the Clogsontronics archives.

Apart from a conventional record label and record store, Clogsontronics strives to become a collaboration environment. A support function to manage productions is up and running (in beta version): the Clogsontronics MCP (Music Collaboration Platform).  The Clogsontronics MCP controls the collaboration amongst members of the Clogsontronics network. It inspires and stimulates creativity. It leads to a totally new experience and ways of creating and delivering music...
